I think that everything said was actually very logical. But, what about this? suppose you added a little information? I ain't suggesting your content isn't good, however what if you added something to maybe grab a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little plain. You could glance at Yahoo's front page and see how they create news titles to get people to open the links. You might add a related video or a picture or two to grab readers interested about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it might bring your website a little livelier.
